1 Day Tully River Rafting

The Tully River is Australia’s most famous rafting adventure. Let RnR take you on an action packed experience filled with fun, thrills and spills on a day you will never forget. Join the thousands of people every year who raft the Tully River in this extreme five hour white water adventure in remote World Heritage Rainforest.

Your day begins after being picked up at your accommodation in our luxury air conditioned coaches - A "must have" here in the Tropics. Enjoy the scenic drive to Tully through cloud-covered coastal mountains, clear rivers and streams, fields of sugar cane and exotic fruits. After a short break, head to the Tully River whilst listening to the Guides safety talk, and pick up your safety equipment.

Commence rafting and negotiate up to 45 rapids of varying degrees which include the unforgettable "Alarm Clock", "Wet & Moisty", "Stair Case" and the dramatic "Theatre" - all before a riverside BBQ lunch opposite "Ponytail Falls" where time is made to recharge your batteries. With a full stomach, we send you off to the afternoon's remaining rapids, and if you dare, take the plunge and try raft surfing, rapid swimming and rock jumping with your guide!

At the end of the day, pack up your raft, change into dry clothes and head to Rafter’s Café in Tully where you can purchase snacks and even a few beers.

White Water Rafting Cairns Tour is the most exciting and fun way to discover the pristine rainforest surrounding Cairns in Tropical North Queensland, and has the advantage of departures all year round, tropical water temperatures and ease of access to compliment breath-taking scenery and rapids.

The Barron River Tour is North Queensland's most exciting half day tour.

Great for people with limited time or can be combined with other adventure activities to maximise your day.

Begin your day with a pickup from your Cairns accommodation. You will meet your Trip Leader onboard and be transferred just North-West of Cairns to Lake Placid, where the fun & adventure begins! Continue up the Barron Gorge whilst your guides explain the safety procedures. Your safety equipment will be waiting for you upon arrival at Barron Gorge Power Station - the put-in for your rafting adventure. Commence rafting with your personal guide and negotiate grade 3 rapids such as Cheese Churn, Hell’s Gate and Rooster Tail. Once back at Lake Placid, enjoy a swim, pack up your raft and change into dry clothes, then enjoy tea and coffee before transferring back to your accommodation.
